The present conductor of the Festival Band is Phil Lambton.
Phil retired from the Royal Marines Band Service after 30 years service and in 2004 offered to conduct the Festival Band after their previous conductor sadly passed away.
Phil’s last position in the Royal Marines was as Bandmaster of HMS Heron Volunteer Band at the Royal Naval Air Station, Yeovilton.
